Description

These are two houses, later used as offices, dating to circa 1770, with alterations in the 20th century. The buildings are constructed of brick with plaster detailing and have a tile roof. They are in a Georgian style, with a symmetrical facade of three windows. The ground floor has channelled rustication, a sill band to the first floor, and a narrow wooden cornice at the top. An elliptical-headed opening originally provided access to a carriage way; this is now infilled with 20th-century glazing and a door. The ground-floor windows are tripartite sashes with 12 panes, hung vertically. The first-floor windows have rusticated wedge lintels above casements with 12 panes. The second-floor windows are casements with 6 panes. The rear of the buildings features two gabled wings. The buildings are included on the list for their group value.
