Description

15 Lower Gungate is a public house that was originally a shop, built in the 17th century or early 18th century, with mid-19th century additions. The building has an L-shaped plan and is constructed of painted brick with a tiled roof featuring a brick cross-axial stack. It is a single storey with an attic and has two windows on the front. The entrance is located between two large 20th-century small-paned bow windows, and the attic includes two gabled dormers. There is a rear gable wing, and to the right, there is a 19th-century two-storey section with two windows. Inside, the building features chamfered beams.
