Description

House at 139 Hockley Road, dating from the late 16th century, features alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. It has a timber frame with rendered brick infill and a tile roof, which includes a brick stack at the front of the ridge. The building is two storeys high and has a two-window range. The windows are 20th-century casements, and there are exposed girding beams and upper studs. The rear of the house is similar, with a 20th-century porch and small casement windows. Inside, there are moulded spine beams and stud partitions.
