Description
The Old School is a former school and school master's house, now a residential property. It dates from the 19th century and is constructed of ashlar stone with herringbone tooling. The roof is covered with plain tiles featuring shaped bands from 1860, and there is an ashlar integral end stack. The building is aligned north-east to south-west, with the schoolroom located to the south-west and the schoolmaster's house to the north-east.
The schoolroom, on the left, is a single storey with one bay and features a three-light chamfered mullioned window. To the right, the schoolmaster's house is also one storey, with an attic and one bay. It has two-light chamfered mullioned windows on the ground floor to the right and in the centre of the attic, along with a single-light window on the ground floor to the left. The schoolroom includes a gabled porch on the right, which has rustic barge boards.
