Description

The Yates memorial is a chest tomb located approximately 8 meters north of the chancel of the Church of St Luke in Endon and Stanley. It commemorates Samuel Yates, who died in 1817. The tomb is made of stone and features a deep moulded plinth, inclined side panels with scrolls at the corners, and a pitched moulded top with an inset center slab. The plinth is inscribed with the name "HUNT.HANLEY."
