Description

The Elizabeth Smith Memorial is a chest tomb located approximately 10 yards east of the chancel of the Church of St. Peter in Alton. It dates from 1836 and is constructed of ashlar stone. The tomb has a rectangular plan, featuring panelled sides and an oversailing cap with a moulded edge.
