Description

The Roman Bath and terrace wall to the south is a structure dating from 1819, located in Alton Park, Farley. It features an oval pool made of dressed stone blocks with ashlar coping, and a central stone pinnacle topped by a merboy. The terrace wall to the south of the pool bows outward at its western end to fit the pool's shape and includes an archway. This structure is part of the significant garden layout at Alton Towers, which is recognized as Grade I on the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission Garden Register.
