Description
This stable, located approximately 25 yards northeast of The Smithy, dates back to 1851. It is constructed of ashlar stone featuring herringbone tooling and has a plain tile roof with shaped tile bands and coped verges on kneelers topped with ball finials. The building is oriented northwest to southeast and consists of one storey with a gable-lit loft, highlighted by a chamfered eaves band. It has three bays, with two deeply chamfered windows on either side and a central stable-type door. The left gable includes a ground floor door on the left with a cambered arch and a central loft door.
