Description

The Parish Church of St Michael and All Angels in Colwich features late 13th century fabric that has been significantly renewed and enlarged in the 19th century. The tower, dated 1640, appears to be older and is located in the west bay of the north aisle. The church also includes a north chapel, vestry, and south aisle, all from the 19th century. A notable feature is the fine east window, which has five lights. Inside, there is an alabaster monument to Sir Robert Wolseley from 1646, complete with an effigy, as well as a handsome mural tablet dedicated to Gabriel Wood from 1706 and his sister from 1704.
