Description
The Church of England Primary School in Colwich was built in 1860. It is constructed of red brick with stone dressings and has an E-shaped layout with projecting gabled bays. The building features stone mullion windows arranged in a pattern of four, three, three, three, and four, with the central and right-hand bays having double transoms, while the others have single transoms. Quoins are present at all angles, and the stone-coped gables are topped with ball-head finials. The right-hand gable displays a stone tablet featuring the arms of Charlotte Sparrow, who formerly resided at Bishton Hall and endowed the school. There is a doorway on the east side that is sheltered by a gabled porch, and the eaves are plain. The roof is tiled.
