2/10011 Colwich Lock No 21 GV II Narrow lock. 1766-70 with replacement of materials and movable parts. By James Brindley, Surveyor General. Brick chamber with stone coping and quoins. Late C20 single steel top gate and double steel bottom gates. Wooden plank footbridge across tail. Off-side weir. The Trent and Mersey Canal was built between 1766 and 1777.
