Description
Baden Hall is a building that originated in the 17th century, was refashioned in the early 19th century, and has had later alterations. It stands two storeys plus an attic, with the ground storey featuring engraved cement and a sham timber frame, while plaster above reveals earlier timber framing on the interior. The building has a projecting gabled bay on the right-hand side, three casement windows, and three canted bay windows. The entrance is marked by a wood pilaster doorcase with a pediment and a rectangular fanlight. A massive stone chimney is located on the south side, and the eaves are plain, topped with tiles. At the rear, there is a cement rendered two-storey wing. Inside, the hall showcases much exposed timber framing, moulded ceiling beams in the principal rooms, and an oak splat baluster staircase.
