Description
This is a canal cottage located at Norbury Junction, built around 1829-1832 and designed by Telford. The cottage is constructed of brick and features an overhanging slate roof. It is a single-storey building with a large polygonal bay that has a hipped roof and three windows, which overlooks the entrance to the now disused Newport Branch Canal. There are single windows to the left and right of the bay, all of which have cambered arches and 4-light sash windows. At the rear, there is a small, flat-roofed extension that was added in the 20th century.
