NORBURY NEWPORT BRANCH CANAL SJ 72 SE 603/7/16 Basin Bridge (No. 1) Norbury Junction at at SJ 792 227 - II

Accommodation bridge across entrance to former Newport Branch Canal. c1829-32. Telford design. Stone, with stone band and copings. Single elliptical arch with voussoirs. Stonework slightly battered outwards-towards base. West side has solid parapet and piers. East side has solid, low, curving parapet and oval iron number-plate. 2 iron rope fenders. Stone towpath coping beneath bridge.
