Description

Victoria Bridge (Number 65) is a road bridge over the Shropshire Union Canal, built between 1827 and 1830, designed by Thomas Telford. The bridge is constructed of stone with some brick and features a single elliptical arch made of voussoirs and a keystone. It has a band and a slightly cambered solid parapet, which is topped with stone and some concrete coping. On each side of the bridge, there are two oval iron tie bar plates. The bridge is supported by solid piers that also have stone coping, and it includes two iron rope fenders.
