Description
This is an outbuilding located approximately 10 meters southwest of The Mill Restaurant. It is likely from the 18th century or early 19th century and is constructed of brick with a tile roof. The building is a square, two-storey structure that features an outshut with a catslide roof on the right side. The gable faces outward and has a large entrance with a timber lintel above paired plank doors, along with two blocked roundels on the gable. The return side has a shallow projection that may indicate a fireplace.
Inside, the first floor has been removed, revealing a king post truss with diagonal beams in the corners on the right side, one of which is truncated, and there are signs of a similar arrangement on the left. A slightly lower beam runs from the front to the back and has a hole for a pivot in the soffit. The walls of the upper level are concave, except at the ends. The original purpose of the building is unknown, but it may have been used for a process involving rotation. It is included for its group value with nearby structures.
