Description
Grove Farmhouse is a farmhouse from the mid-18th century, with some alterations from the early 19th century. It features painted brickwork and brown tile roofs, with central stacks on the spine wall. The building has a double parallel range plan with a central cross passage, is two storeys high, and has a three-window front. There are raised bands at the first and second floors, which are toothed at the eaves. The 19th-century windows are cruciform casements with segmental heads. The entrance includes a six-panel door with pilastered surrounds, horizontally reeded detailing, and scrolled consoles supporting a flat hood above a triglyph frieze and over-light. Additionally, there are two projecting single-storey bays on the garden front from the 19th century. The property is enclosed by spearhead cast iron railings and a gate on a stone plinth, which form the boundary perimeter to the frontage and lane.
