SWINDON C.P. HIGH STREET SO 89 SE (Eastside) 5/118 Barn, stables, 25.7.83 coach house and granary approx. 10 yards north- west of Manor Farmhouse II Barn, stables, coach house and granary. Barn and ground floor of stables are C18, the rest mid-C19. Red brick, plain tile roofs. Barn aligned north-south, parallel to the street; stable wing to the north-east at right angles to the barn, with coach house and granary tower at the east end; the whole complex forms an L-shaped plan. Barn. 3 bays, central full height double doors to both sides; ventilation holes in horizontal courses and diamond patterns; the roof has queen struts, 2 pairs of purlins and straight braces. Stables, coach house and granary. (South side) lofted stables and coachhouse; 4 stable doors with segmental heads, 5 ground floor windows; 4 gabled dormers, the 2 to the left contain boarded loading doors, the other 2 have casements. Projecting gabled coach house at the right hand end of the stables with carriage arch and boarded loading door over. Terminating the range to the right is a square tower with pyramidal roof and a first floor door approached by a flight of brick and stone steps. The door leads to a granary extending over coach house and stables. C19 scissor-braced roof trusses.
