Description
This building is a barn and attached stables located 30 yards southwest of the Manor House, dating from the 18th century and mid-19th century. It is constructed of rubble with concrete tiles and Cotswold stone roofs, forming a roughly U-shaped plan. The barn is a plain rectangular structure with about three bays, featuring central entries and triangular vents in the south gable. It is connected to the south by a stable block that has five bays, with mullion windows and labels, as well as two stable doors also with labels and a coped verge. There is a lower, partly open-fronted extension to the east. Additionally, there is a 1½ storey stable block at right angles to this, which now serves as garages below and may have been a granary above. The buildings create a pleasant courtyard to the southwest of the Manor House and form an important group that influences the road's bend.
