Description
The building is a former water mill dating from the mid-17th century, constructed in the local style. It features coursed rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, and has a slate roof with coped verges. The structure is 2½ storeys high and has three openings on the ground floor, including an archway for the wheel-house and leet to the right, a 4-light mullion window with a drip to the left of center, and a half-glazed door to the left. The wheel and some machinery are still present. There are gable end entries, and the first floor was removed at the time of the last survey. The mill has complex sluicing arrangements from a large mill pool. It is part of a picturesque and well-known group in the Cotswolds, which also includes a bridge and a mill-house.
