Description
The former Greyhound Public House, now converted into apartments, dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof and brick external end stacks. The building comprises two parallel ranges with a rear extension. It is three storeys high, although the proportions of the second floor are reduced, and features a dentilled eaves band. The front facade has two windows, with three-light glazing bar casements; the ground and first floor windows have segmental heads. A central door also has a segmental head. A two-storey extension to the rear includes a large side stack, possibly indicating a former brewhouse. Internally, the building features chamfered spine beams with run-out stops.
