Description
Manor Farm East consists of a granary, stables, and barn, dating from the mid-18th century, with a datestone from 1733 that may still be in its original position. The building is constructed of limestone rubble and brick, topped with pantile roofs. It has an L-shaped layout, with the granary on the shorter side and the stables and barn on the longer side.
The granary is two storeys high and has three bays. It features a step leading to a board door, with the datestone above it, flanked by another board door on the left and a stable door on the right. There is also a pitching door on the first floor.
The stables are also two storeys, with a brick upper storey. On the left side, there is a round gauged brick arch with a keystone and imposts. The centre has a board door, accompanied by a fixed window on the left and a slatted window on the right. To the right, there is a stable door in a bricked-up opening. The first floor has three slatted openings.
The barn, which is two storeys and has three bays, features a central board door flanked by vents. This building is included for its group value.
