Description

No. 16 Church Street is a house dating from the early 19th century, although it has earlier origins. It is constructed of brick in English bond and features a pantile roof. The building has a central hallway entry and includes a later parallel range with an M-shaped roof, as well as an additional single-storey bay to the right of the rear wing. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. The entrance features a six-fielded-panel door with an overlight set within a pilastered doorcase. The windows throughout are four-pane sashes, with those on the ground floor having segmental arches above them. Notable decorative features include lions' heads on the guttering, raised gable ends that tumble in, and end stacks.
