Description

Chatwell Lodge is a house dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of red brick with a brown tile roof and end stacks. The front elevation is two storeys and three windows wide, featuring a central entrance. The building has a plinth, a band at ground floor sill level, even brick quoins, and a moulded cornice beneath the eaves. The windows are 19th-century casements, with one blocked on the first floor. A moulded and segmental head with a keystone features above the ground floor window on the left, and there is a 19th-century bay to the right. The entrance has a boarded door with a flat hood. The building was formerly known as the Cock Inn.
