Description

Old Springs Hall is a small country house built in the early 19th century, with later alterations. It is constructed from sandstone ashlar and features low-pitched hipped slate roofs with wide, bracketed eaves. The house has ashlar ridge stacks with moulded capping and is two storeys high, with a floor band and glazing bar sashes throughout, all set in moulded stone cills.

The north front, which serves as the entrance, has five bays and includes a flat-roofed pillared portico that occupies the second and third bays from the east. The west front is arranged in a 2:2:2 bay configuration, with the central portion recessed. The left-hand bay projects further to the west, and both this bay and the right-hand bay feature canted bay windows on the ground floor, supported by angled piers and adorned with triglyphs below a moulded cornice. The south front is more plain, consisting of five bays, and has a mid-20th century flat-roofed conservatory projecting from the three easternmost bays on the ground floor. To the east, there is a long, lower eight-bay service range.

The house is well situated within a pleasant parkland landscape. The interior has not been inspected.
