Description

No. 1 Brampton Road is a gate lodge to Brampton Lodge, built around 1836. The building is constructed from rusticated sandstone and features a hipped heavy slate roof. It is a single-storey structure in an L-plan layout, with a projecting range to the left that includes a canted wood mullioned bay window. The doorway is located in the recessed right-hand section of the lodge. There have been late 20th-century extensions and modifications to the side windows. A stack is present on the side wall.
