Description
Nos. 7, 9, and 11 King Street are a row of three houses, now used as offices, dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed of brick and topped with slate roofs, built in at least four phases. No. 7 consists of two phases, featuring both three storeys and two storeys, with four bays and an additional bay for a wide entry to the rear on the left. It has a central doorway and sash windows with flat arched stuccoed heads. No. 9 is three storeys high with three bays, a doorway to the left, and sash windows with flat arched gauged brick heads. No. 11 has one three-storeyed bay and a doorway in a two-storeyed extension to the right. The original doorcase of No. 11 features a pediment supported by console brackets, which has been replicated in No. 9. No. 7 has a six-panelled door with a fanlight above. There is a sill band across the right-hand bays of Nos. 7 and 9-11, and a moulded eaves cornice. Gable end stacks are present, with one on the left partially demolished.
