Description
Brampton House is a former residential building now used as offices, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a hipped Welsh slate roof. The building is three stories high and has four bays, with a doorway set in a pedimented case that is flanked by canted bay windows on the southern elevation. To the right, there is a lower two-story wing that includes a sash window inserted over the segmentally arched head of what may be an earlier opening. The lower elevation facing the street has a four-panelled door with an overlight, set within a simple moulded architrave. To the left of the door is a tripartite sash window, while to the right are two four-pane sash windows. The upper windows are 12-pane sashes, all featuring flat arched stuccoed heads. The building has a moulded eaves cornice and tall gable end stacks.
