Description
The Fox and Hounds is a house that has been converted into an inn. It has an 18th-century core that was extended and altered in the mid-19th century. The building features painted brickwork with raised bands at floor level and has end and ridge stacks. The east front is two storeys high with two gables, each containing one window positioned to the right of the gable, featuring mullioned and transomed casements. The entrance is located to the left of the right-hand gable and has a boarded door. There is a 19th-century lean-to structure on the left side. The 18th-century work continues on the Main Street side with two windows, ending in a gable, and there is a substantial late 19th-century addition beyond. The building is part of a tightly grouped village centre and is included for its group value.
