Description
Lincoln House is a house dating from the early 19th century, with a refacing in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of rendered brick with raised quoins and features hipped tile roofs, with a stack located in the central valley. The building has a plan of two ranges. The front facade, which is from the mid-19th century, consists of two storeys and three windows, featuring plate glass sashes set in moulded surrounds. There are substantial three-sided single storey bays on the outer ground floor. The central entrance has a surround and cornice supported by consoles, with an overlight and a 20th-century six-panel door. At the rear, there is a rounded stair tower facing the street, which includes a mid-19th century semicircular leaded stair window, and the back elevation has glazing bar sashes. Lincoln House forms a prominent unit in the village centre.
