Description
Westgate is a house that incorporates a former barn, dating from the early 19th century and featuring a 17th-century barn. The house is constructed of red brick with a timber-framed barn, both topped with plain tile roofs. It has brick integral end stacks and a ridge stack.
The house is aligned north-south and faces east, with the barn to the west, which is aligned east-west. It stands two storeys tall and features dentilled eaves. There are three windows with glazing bar casements that have segmental heads, and to the right, there is a large bay window with glazing bar sashes and a hipped roof. A four-panelled door is located to the left of centre, topped with a bracketed pediment.
The former barn is a single storey and has two square panels at the eaves with straight braces. It consists of three framed bays, with central garage doors and a window to the right.
