Description

This is a mid-18th century house located on Church Road, Alrewas. It is built of red brick with a plain tile roof, featuring raised verges, a brick integral end stack, and a ridge stack. Originally aligned east-west, with its south-facing elevation presenting to the road, the building was formerly three storeys high, but is now two storeys with an attic. It has three windows, featuring 20th-century casement windows with louvred shutters set within 18th-century surrounds with segmental heads. Gabled dormers have replaced the original second-floor windows. A single-storey extension is present to the left, incorporating a segment-headed window. The house occupies a prominent position opposite the churchyard of All Saints Church and is listed for its group value.
