Description
No. 7 Market Street is a shop and office building dating from around 1750, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of brick and features a tile roof, reflecting a Georgian style. The building has two storeys plus an attic and consists of a four-window range. There is a brick platt band at each floor and at the cornice. The ground floor has a late 20th-century shop front and an entrance on the right side. The first floor features windows with rubbed brick flat arches above 12-pane sash windows, along with iron window-box holders. The attic includes two hipped dormers with three-light small-paned casements and iron gutter brackets. Inside, there is an open-well stair at the rear with stick balusters, and window shutters are present on the first floor.
