Description

29 Market Street is a shop built around 1800, with some later alterations. The building is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and features a parapeted roof. It has a Georgian style, with three storeys and a three-window range. The first floor has a sill band and a top cornice with a timber parapet. The shop fronts were updated around 1990. The upper windows have rubbed brick flat arches, with 12-pane horned sash windows on the first floor and 6-pane horned sash windows on the second floor. There is a contemporary rainwater head and downspout. At the rear, there is a hipped wing that includes 16-pane sash windows and a segmental-headed tripartite casement.
