Description
This is a group of three chest tombs located approximately 10 yards west of the Church of St. John the Baptist. They date from the late 18th century and early 19th century and are made of stone. Each tomb features moulded bases and slate caps with moulded edges. The side and end panels have moulded surrounds and corner pilasters. The central and southernmost tombs have fluted pilasters with gadrooned bases. The memorials commemorate Thomas Prinsep, who died in 1795, Mary Prinsep, who died in 1779, and another Thomas Prinsep, who died in 1814.
