Description
The Bakery is a house that also incorporates a shop, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a clay tile roof, featuring brick stacks at both ends and a ridge stack. The building has two storeys and a dentilled eaves course. There are three windows on the upper floor, which are 16-pane glazing bar sashes with shaped heads. On the ground floor to the left, there is a 20th-century canted bay window. To the right, there is a six-panelled door with a panelled doorcase, and to the left, a glazed door, both of which have bracketed hoods and are accessed by short flights of stone steps. The Bakery is included for its group value and is significant in views from the Market Place.
