Description

This is an early to mid-19th century building on Talbot Street. It is constructed of stucco, and stands three storeys high. The lower level is rusticated. The building has three sash windows on each floor; the ground floor windows are set within semi-circular heads and are surrounded by rustication. A band runs horizontally across the facade, above which is a moulded cornice at the second-floor level, supported by paired consoles. The main entrance features a moulded wooden doorcase with a semi-circular head and a fanlight, all set within a rusticated surround. There is a similar doorway within a recessed bay on the right-hand side. The eaves are bold, and the roof is tiled. Numbers 26 to 32 (even) form a group.
