Description

Abberley House is an early 19th-century building, with an earlier core. It is constructed of stucco, with the ground storey rusticated. The house is two storeys high and has four sash windows. The central pair of windows are set within moulded architraves, while the outer windows on each side have a pediment supported by consoles; corresponding windows on the ground floor also feature this pedimented detail. The ground-floor windows have been fitted with later 19th-century casements with single glazing bars, and incorporate a doorway with a half-glazed door. A sill band runs around the building, and it has plain eaves. The roof is slate-covered. To the returned side, facing east, is a doorway with a Doric column portico, along with a single-storeyed wing to the rear.
