Description
Mill Cottages is an 18th-century red brick cottage range situated at right angles to the road. It features a tiled roof with crow-stepped gables and a brick dentil eaves course. The building is one storey with an attic and has a long three-window range, with the right-hand window blocked. The windows are three-light mullion/transom casements set in segmental arched openings. There are two dormers at the eaves, each with two-light casements. The doorway is off-centre and has a moulded doorcase with a pedimental hood on brackets, leading to a flush panel door, which is enclosed by a late 19th-century gabled porch. There is a brick stack off-centre and a late 19th-century canted bay in the end wall. Adjoining the opposite end is a small early 19th-century two-storey, one-bay cottage.
