Description
The Hall is a timber-framed house from around the 16th century, encased in early 18th century red brick. It has an L-shaped plan and features a steeply pitched hipped tiled roof with a moulded eaves cornice. The building is two storeys high with an attic and consists of four bays plus an additional bay wing. It has sash windows with glazing bars, including two canted bay windows on the ground floor, also with sashes and glazing bars. To the left, there is a doorcase with a pediment. The house has three modern gabled dormers and a large panelled brick ridge stack that is off centre. The left-hand wing has a modern brick two-storey bay window.
Inside, there are stopped chamfered ceiling beams and a late 17th century open well staircase that spans all floors, featuring moulded balusters, a moulded string and handrail, and pendants. The interior also includes 17th century panelling.
