Description
The barn immediately north-east of the Hall is likely from the 16th or 17th century. It is a timber-framed structure with four bays and features red brick infill panels set on a sandstone plinth, with some areas weatherboarded. The northern two bays are constructed from sandstone ashlar and include ventilation holes. The barn has a tiled roof with gabled ends; the north end is slightly lower and includes a cartway. The south end features tiebeams, lower angle struts, and collars. There is a tiebeam separating the cartway bay from the northern end bay, supported by a central post with two arched braces extending from its base.
