Description

The railings and gates of Audley Villa date from 1817 and feature a geometrical pattern made of cast iron. The railings extend across the house's frontage and approximately 20 feet to the left. There are two gates of a similar design, which are hung on plain iron standards. It is likely that these railings were reused from a former grandstand, as an early print of the grandstand shows balustrades with an identical pattern in front of the open bays of the upper storey.
