Description

Nos 9 and 11 Upper Bar is an early 19th-century building featuring stucco and modern roughcast over an earlier timber frame. It stands two storeys tall, with the upper storey having a slight overhang. On the right side, there is a slightly projecting gabled bay that contains a modern casement window, flanked by side pilasters on carved wood brackets. The upper storey has three 19th-century casement windows. The ground storey has been generally altered but retains two moulded wood doorcases; the one on the right side features a pedimental detail and a four-panelled door. The eaves are plain, and the roof is covered with modern tiles. At the rear, there is a projecting wing. The interior has been significantly altered.
