Description
Smallwood Lodge is a building dating from around 1600, with 19th-century alterations. It features a timber frame with plaster and brick, and has a painted imitation timber frame. The structure is one storey plus an attic and includes two 19th-century sash windows with single glazing bars that are positioned above the eaves, each topped with a 19th-century gable. To the left, there is a 19th-century box bay window without glazing bars, which is situated under a continuous tiled pentice. The doorway has been altered and is accompanied by a 19th-century rustic wood porch. On the right side, there is a 19th-century splayed bay window. The roof is covered with tiles that have 19th-century ornamental ridges. Additionally, there is a single-storey bay on the left side, constructed of brick with a painted sham timber frame, featuring one window with a semi-circular head.
