Description
The Pheasant Inn is a mid-19th century building located on the east side of Upper Bar. It is constructed of red brick and stands three storeys tall, featuring four sash windows with single glazing bars and plain lintels. One window on the second storey is blocked. The building has two canted bay windows with slate pentice roofs that flank the doorway, which is adorned with a plain entablature and cornice. The entrance includes a four-panelled door and steps leading up to it. Notable features include an elaborate rainwater head and pipe on the left-hand side, the latter of which has spiral fluting, as well as corbelled eaves and tiled roofing. The Pheasant Inn is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
