Description
The wrought-iron railings on the south side of the park at Audley End date from the early 19th century. They stretch 120 meters in length and stand 1.2 meters high. The railings feature square section bars topped with spear points, along with slender lower alternating bars that are linked by semicircular bars. Additionally, there are inner wrought-iron stays at intervals of 3.8 meters, which are shaped with a shoulder and curved leg. These railings are situated between the Lion Gate and the bridge over the River Cam.
