Description

The Swan Inn Public House, located at No. 4 and No. 6 on the east side of Lower Bar, is an early 19th-century building. It is constructed of painted brick and stands two storeys high, featuring four sash windows. No. 6 boasts an original bow window and a plain wood pilaster doorcase with a small rectangular fanlight above a six-panelled door. In contrast, No. 4 has a later bay window and an inn window with modern leaded lights, along with a wood pilaster doorcase and a six-panelled door. The building has corbelled brick detailing and plain eaves, topped with a slate roof.
