Description

No. 6A on St Mary Street is an early 19th-century building constructed of brick with a sham painted timber frame that suggests an earlier timber frame structure. It stands three storeys high and features one sash window. On either side of the building, there are moulded wood doorcases that frame four-panelled doors with part-glazing. A later 19th-century projecting rectangular bay shop window with a cornice and modern glazing has been added to the front. The building has plain eaves and a later slate roof. Although the interior has been significantly altered, it still retains some exposed ceiling beams.
