Description

Ivydene is a 17th-century house that was re-fronted in the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and stands three storeys high, featuring four sash windows with plain keyblocks. The second-storey windows still have their original glazing bars. At the centre of the ground storey, there is a blocked archway flanked by bay windows, all beneath a cornice. The second floor has a stuccoed corbelled cornice and a parapet above. The roof is tiled. On the north side, there is a wood pilaster doorcase topped with a cornice hood supported by consoles. Although the interior has been significantly altered, it retains some exposed ceiling beams.
