Description
A group of four early 19th-century terraced dwellings are situated on Abbey Foregate in Shrewsbury. The buildings are constructed of large bricks and have a Welsh slate roof. They are arranged over three storeys, with a four-window facade. Each dwelling features a six-panelled front door with a fanlight set within a moulded architrave, topped by console brackets supporting an entablature. A central round-arched entrance, surmounted by a steep pediment, provides access to the rear of the properties and to numbers 147 and 148. The windows are flush-framed sashes with twelve panes, and have flat-arched gauged brick heads. Side entrances are located at numbers 147 and 148, which occupy the rear portion of the cluster. Gable and axial stacks are present.
